CBSE has prescribed the long reading texts from the academic year 2012-13 to be included in curriculum of secondary education. The Board states that it is must to foster good reading habits in students of secondary education and thereby develop their imagination, expression and linguistic skills. In order to provide appropriate reading text to class 9th students we bring this English Hindi Series of “Gulliver’s Travels” with Vocabulary, Summary and Question Answer. The text is supported with relevant sketches that engage a reader into imagination. The book is a satire on human nature and parody of the “travelers’ tales” literary sub- genre. While writing this epilogue, Jonathan swift was influenced with Cavehill in Belfast that appeared to be like a sleeping giant. This book was first published in 1726 in the name Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World, In Four Part, By Lemuel Gulliver, First a Surgeon, and then a Captain of Several Ships before it was brought together as one whole entity. His work was of great significance as an Irish writer against the inequities of the English Whigs.
