As per the students and experts, the Physics paper was the hardest among the three sections. Some questions were reportedly at the JEE Advanced level, leaving many aspirants disheartened. According to experts, either a few candidates or no one will manage a perfect 720 score this year due to the rise of difficulty in this section.

Chemistry questions were challenging and posed a chance to score. Inorganic Chemistry is heavily based on the NCERT books, Numerical and Organic Chemistry included questions that went beyond the NCERT syllabus. Many students felt that formula-based shortcuts weren’t enough this year.

Talking about the Biology section, it was generally easy, and the majority of the questions were directly based on the NCERT but the section was lengthy.

2025 NEET UG Exam Conducted Under Tight Supervision

This year's paper was held under strict supervision, and the results this time would also help in revealing who may have played foul last year, provided the NTA releases a proper data comparison.

The overall cutoff is expected to be low in 2025. Last year, 81,000 students scored 600+, which was only 29,000 in 2023. Around 15,000 to 20,000 students are expected to score 600+ this year, or possibly even fewer. The NTA has shown students the real NEET level, which is tougher than when CBSE used to conduct the exam.

NEET 2025 Result Date:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to announce the NEET UG Result 2025 on June 14, 2025. Over 22 lakh students appeared in the exam conducted on May 4.

But if you just gave the exam to see the exam pattern, then read on the tips and study material that might be helpful for the next session.

Tips and Books for NEET Exam

1. Understand the Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
NEET UG consists of three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Familiarise yourself with the exam pattern—200 questions (180 to be attempted), with a total of 720 marks. Thoroughly go through the NCERT syllabus for classes 11 and 12, as most questions are based on it.

2. Prioritise NCERT Textbooks:
NCERT books are the cornerstone of NEET preparation. About 80–85% of the questions in Biology and a significant number in Physics and Chemistry are directly or indirectly based on NCERT.

3. Create a Realistic Study Schedule:
Design a daily timetable that includes time for all three subjects. Balance is key—allocate more time to your weak areas without neglecting the stronger ones. Include short breaks and revision periods in your routine to stay refreshed and focused.

4. Practice Regularly:
Solve previous years NEET papers and take mock tests regularly to improve speed and accuracy. Analyse your performance after each test to identify mistakes and work on them. Time management during practice is as important as understanding concepts.

5. Focus on Conceptual Clarity:
Rote learning won’t help in NEET. Focus on understanding the fundamental concepts, especially in Physics and Chemistry. Clear concepts help tackle tricky questions with ease.

6. Revise Consistently:
Revision is crucial. Keep revising the important topics weekly. Use short notes, flashcards, or mind maps to revise formulas, reactions, and key facts efficiently.

7. Stay Healthy and Positive:
Maintain a balanced lifestyle. Eat healthy food, get adequate sleep, and exercise regularly. Mental health is equally important—stay positive, avoid stress, and believe in your preparation.

8. Seek Guidance When Needed:
If you’re stuck with a topic, don’t hesitate to ask teachers or mentors. Joining a coaching institute or an online course can also provide structured guidance and keep you on track.

Book to Consider While Preparing:

Apart from the NCERT textbooks, make sure to check the various help books and notes, yes, there is one for NEET.
