Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Primary Level (Classes 1–5)	Candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks and possess or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./BTC). Other qualifications such as B.El.Ed., Special Education Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree with D.El.Ed. are also accepted as per NCTE norms.
Upper Primary Level (Classes 6–8)	Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree with D.El.Ed./B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri, or equivalent qualifications prescribed by NCTE. Candidates with B.El.Ed., B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed., Special Education, or Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. are also eligible.
