CBSE Exam Date Sheet 2027: When Will Class 10 & 12 Time Table Be Released?

Students and parents across India are asking the same question right now: when will the CBSE Exam Date Sheet 2027 be released? As of 1 October 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education has not yet published the official Class 10 and Class 12 board exam schedule for the 2026-27 session. Based on CBSE's pattern over the last few years, the tentative date sheet usually arrives first, followed by the final, subject-wise time table about a month later. This article breaks down exactly where things stand, what CBSE's past release pattern tells us, and when students can realistically expect the CBSE Date Sheet 2027 to go live.

CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Current Status

Several unofficial "leaked" date sheets circulate on WhatsApp and social media every year around this time — CBSE has repeatedly clarified that only the PDF published on its own website is valid. Don't plan your revision around anything else.

Why the CBSE Date Sheet 2027 Is Taking Time

There's no cause for alarm — CBSE's release pattern has been fairly consistent in recent years:

•       Tentative date sheet first: CBSE typically releases a tentative schedule in September, giving a broad sense of when exams will begin.

•       Final date sheet follows: The complete, subject-wise final time table is usually published about a month later, in October.

•       LOC submission comes first: Before any date sheet, schools must complete the List of Candidates (LOC) submission process, which CBSE uses to finalize exam centers and scheduling.

CBSE Date Sheet Release Pattern: Past Years at a Glance

Looking at how CBSE has handled this in previous sessions gives the clearest idea of what to expect this year:

If CBSE follows the same gap as last year, the final CBSE Date Sheet 2027 should land roughly five weeks after the tentative one.

What to Do While You Wait for the CBSE Date Sheet 2027

Waiting for the official schedule doesn't mean waiting to start preparing. Here's how to use this time well:

•       Start with sample papers: Begin solving the official CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 sample papers for 2026-27 to understand the exam pattern and marking scheme.

•       Map your syllabus: Break down each subject's syllabus into weekly targets so a sudden date sheet announcement doesn't catch you off guard.

•       Prioritize weak chapters: Use this buffer period to clear doubts in topics you've been putting off.

•       Keep documents ready: Ensure your admit card details, registration number, and school records are in order for when the board exam process begins.
