The Diary of a Young Girl was penned by Anne Frank during the Nazi Occupation of the Netherlands while she was hiding with her family for two years. The book is a personal account of Anne Frank’s life from 14 June, 1942 to 1 August, 1944.
The book was first published in Dutch, under the title Het Achterhuis Dagboekbrieven in 1947, before it was translated into English in 1952. Her diary was saved by one of the helpers, MapGies, whose efforts led to its publication.
